This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available on Pairsy and how to request one. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Pairsy is operated by Market Catalyst Enterprises (FBR Registration No. 3520145796137).
Pairsy is a marketplace: events are run by independent organizers and Pairsy facilitates payment between attendees and organizers. Because of this, refund handling depends on which scenario applies. There are four.
1. The organizer cancels an event
If an organizer cancels an event you have a confirmed booking for, Pairsy will refund your ticket price net of a 10% platform fee and a 5% payment-processor fee. You do not need to do anything — Pairsy will initiate the refund automatically within 2 business days of the cancellation being confirmed and will email you when it has been processed.
2. You cancel before the event (attendee cancellation)
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the event start time, Pairsy will refund your ticket price net of a 10% platform fee and a 5% payment-processor fee.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the event start time, no refund is due unless the organizer agrees to one at their discretion.
3. The event happened but was materially different from the listing
If the event went ahead but was materially different from what was listed — for example the location, content, or duration differed substantially from the listing, or the event ended prematurely without the organizer offering a remedy — you may file a dispute within 48 hours of the scheduled event end time.
Pairsy will review evidence from both you and the organizer, including chat history, photos, attendee feedback, and the original listing, and decide whether a refund or partial refund is appropriate. Pairsy's decision in such disputes is final.
4. Technical or payment failure
If your card was charged but the booking did not confirm because of a technical fault on the platform or with the payment processor, you will receive a full refund within 5 business days. If you spot a duplicate charge, email info@pairsy.com with the date, amount, and booking reference and we will reconcile it.
How to request a refund
Email info@pairsy.com and include the following so we can act quickly:
- Your name and the email associated with your Pairsy account.
- The booking reference (visible on your booking confirmation).
- The event name and date.
- The reason for the refund request, and any supporting screenshots or photos where relevant.
We aim to respond within 2 business days with a decision or a request for further information.
How refunds are processed
SafePay setup is still in progress.Once it's live, refunds will be processed by SafePay as described below.
Approved refunds are processed by SafePay back to the original payment method used for the booking. Pairsy processes approved refunds within 5 to 7 business days. After that, the refund may take an additional 5 to 10 banking days to appear on your statement depending on your bank. Both timeframes are normal under State Bank of Pakistan rules governing card refunds.
Refunds are issued to the same card or account used to pay. If for any reason the original method is no longer available, contact us at info@pairsy.com and we will arrange an alternative — typically a bank transfer — after verifying your identity.
Chargebacks
We would much rather resolve a refund directly with you than through a chargeback. If you initiate a chargeback on a delivered ticket before contacting us, we may pause your account while we review the dispute with your bank. Chargebacks on valid, attended bookings may be treated as a breach of our Terms and Conditions.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer right you have under Pakistani law, including the Punjab Consumer Protection Act, 2005 (or the equivalent law of your province).
