Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Pairsy collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English so that any user can understand what we do with their information.

Who operates Pairsy

Pairsy is operated by Market Catalyst Enterprises, a sole proprietorship registered with the Federal Board of Revenue of Pakistan (FBR Registration No. 3520145796137). References to “Pairsy”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this Policy mean Market Catalyst Enterprises in its capacity as the operator of the Pairsy platform.

For privacy-related queries you can reach us at info@pairsy.com.

Two types of users, two sets of data

Pairsy is a marketplace for events. Attendees discover and book events; organizers list and run them. The data we collect is different for each, so we describe both separately below.

Data we collect from attendees

  • Account details: your name, email address, and phone number. We rely on your consent at signup and the need to perform our contract with you (delivering the service you asked for) as the legal basis for processing these.
  • Payment method type: when you pay for a booking, our payment processor (SafePay) handles your card. We never see or store your full card number; we only retain the card brand and last four digits so we can reference the transaction.
  • Booking activity: events you browse, events you book, and your booking history. We use this to operate the service and recommend events relevant to you (a legitimate interest basis).
  • Location: city-level location, to help you find nearby events. If you allow precise location through your browser or device, we use it only to improve event discovery and ask for your consent first.
  • Device information: IP address, browser type, device type, and similar diagnostics. We use this to keep the service secure and detect fraud — a legitimate interest basis.

Data we collect from organizers

  • Account and identity details: your name, email, phone number, and (during organizer onboarding) identity information such as your CNIC, where this is needed for compliance and trust-and-safety purposes.
  • Payout details: the bank account information you provide so we can disburse your event sales proceeds. We treat this as sensitive information and limit access to it accordingly.
  • Event content: the event name, description, location, pricing, images, and any other content you publish on Pairsy.
  • Payout history: records of disbursements made to you, kept for accounting and tax purposes.

Third parties we share data with

SafePay setup is still in progress.Once it's live, payments and refunds will be processed by SafePay as described below.

We do not sell your personal data. We share specific data with a small number of service providers, only to the extent necessary to operate Pairsy:

  • SafePay — our payment processor for both payments and refunds. Their privacy policy is available at getsafepay.com/privacy-policy.
  • Google Maps — used to display event locations on a map. When the map loads, Google may receive information about your device and IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider and the source of our anonymous usage analytics. Servers may be located outside Pakistan; data is encrypted in transit. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Pixel — used on selected marketing pages to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

How attendee lists are shared with organizers

When you book an event, the organizer of that event receives a list of confirmed attendees — at minimum your name, and (where the event requires it) your email address — so they can run the event and contact you with logistics. By booking an event you consent to this disclosure. Organizers are required by our Terms of Service to use attendee information solely to run the event they listed and not for unrelated marketing.

How we handle organizer payout data

Bank details and other payout information are stored separately from general account data and accessed only by personnel who handle payouts, finance, or compliance. We never share organizer payout details with other organizers or with attendees.

Cross-entity access within Market Catalyst Enterprises

Pairsy is one of several brands operated by Market Catalyst Enterprises. Personnel in the parent organization may have access to Pairsy data where necessary for business operations such as finance, compliance, security, customer support, or product development. Access is limited to what is necessary and is governed by the same confidentiality obligations.

How long we keep your data

  • Account data: for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your profile and personal identifiers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (see below).
  • Transaction and payout records: at least 6 years from the date of the transaction, in line with Pakistani tax and accounting requirements.
  • Communication logs and support tickets: up to 2 years, so we can reference past conversations to help you.
  • Fraud and security records: up to 2 years, where we have a legitimate interest in preventing repeat fraud.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for any processing that relies on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@pairsy.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.

You can also delete your account at any time from your Profile page.

Cookies

Pairsy uses two categories of cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in and the service working — these load automatically because the service cannot function without them. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising pixels) help us understand how the product is used and measure marketing. We ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies where required. You can read more on our Cookie Policy page.

Security

We use HTTPS across the entire site, encrypted database connections, and access controls on internal systems. Despite our efforts, no online service can guarantee absolute security; if we ever learn of a material breach affecting your data we will notify you promptly in line with applicable law.

Children

Pairsy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, email info@pairsy.com and we will delete it.

Pakistan legal references

We handle personal data in accordance with applicable Pakistani law, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA), which addresses unauthorized access to and misuse of electronic data. Where consumer rights are implicated we look to the Punjab Consumer Protection Act, 2005 (or the equivalent law of your province). Payment processing and refunds are carried out in line with applicable State Bank of Pakistan regulations through our licensed payment processor.

Changes to this Policy

If we make a material change to this Policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email or through a notice in the product before the change takes effect.
