Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Pairsy uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

Who operates Pairsy

Pairsy is operated by Market Catalyst Enterprises, a sole proprietorship registered with the Federal Board of Revenue of Pakistan (FBR Registration No. 3520145796137). In this Policy “Pairsy”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Market Catalyst Enterprises in its capacity as the operator of the platform.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies let the website remember things about your visit — such as whether you are signed in, your preferences, or which pages you have viewed — so the site can work properly and improve over time. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels). For simplicity we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this Policy.

The categories of cookies we use

We use two broad categories on Pairsy: essential cookies (which the service cannot work without) and non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Essential cookies

These are required to operate Pairsy securely. Without them you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or perform actions that depend on a verified session. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require consent.

  • Supabase authentication cookies — set when you sign in, used to keep your session active and refresh your authentication token periodically. They are removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
  • Session and security cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel) to route requests to the correct server and to protect against common attacks.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand how Pairsy is used — which pages are popular, where users encounter errors, and where the product can be improved. The data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.

Advertising and marketing cookies

These help us understand whether our marketing is working and reach people who might be interested in Pairsy.

How long cookies are kept

Cookies fall into two lifespans:

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Most authentication cookies fall into this category.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (typically from a few days to two years, depending on the service). Most analytics and advertising cookies fall into this category.

Your choices

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Look for the “Privacy” or “Site Settings” section of your browser preferences. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core features of Pairsy.
  • Service-specific opt-outs. See the links above for Google Analytics, FullStory, and Meta to opt out of those services individually.
  • Account deletion. Deleting your Pairsy account from your Profile page will end your session and clear the authentication cookies tied to it.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no universal industry standard for how websites should respond to this signal, Pairsy does not currently change its behaviour based on it. We will revisit this as standards evolve.

Changes to this Policy

If we add or remove a cookie provider, or change a material aspect of how cookies are used on Pairsy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will also notify you by email or through a notice in the product.
